The Ultima™ insert from the VIGILIS® range is a next-generation soft multi-threat ballistic insert developed by EGIDE Technologies.
Designed to face hybrid threats, it has been tested in compliance with the NIJ HG2 standard for ballistic protection against handguns, as well as the NIJ 0115.00 standard for resistance to perforation by single and double-edged blades with energy up to 50 joules. This dual performance makes it a multi-threat solution particularly suited to environments with evolving risks.
Its innovative multilayer construction combines high-performance UHMWPE fibres with a proprietary soft composite that guarantees exceptional flexibility while offering a high level of protection. The insert thus retains great freedom of movement, reduced weight and optimal comfort, even during extended wear or dynamic interventions.
The Ultima™ insert supports law enforcement officers, security agents and professionals exposed to multi-threat risks without compromising their mobility or endurance. It can also be used as a rear supplement (ICW - In Conjunction With) to ballistic plates of higher protection levels in order to increase ballistic performance in a multi-level configuration.

Standard and performance
Ballistic tests were carried out without a trauma pad. Wearing a trauma pad is strongly recommended to absorb residual kinetic energy upon impact.

Delivery and after-sales service
Our standard references are produced in limited stock: the shipping time is provided when you order, depending on availability.
For custom configurations (non-standard size, specific integration), a manufacturing lead time will be provided when your request is reviewed.
Delivery to mainland France, French overseas territories and the European Union. For deliveries outside the EU, please contact our sales team.
In accordance with regulations, you have 14 days to exercise your right of withdrawal, provided the product is returned in its original nylon packaging, sealed and unopened.
Once the nylon packaging has been opened, the product can no longer be resold to another customer: the integrity of the ballistic material cannot be guaranteed after opening. In this case, we take the product back for reconditioning or internal reuse, but no refund or exchange can be offered, except in the event of a proven manufacturing defect.
Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, except in the event of a defect or an error on our part.
All our VIGILIS® inserts come with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing and material defects, starting from their date of manufacture.
This warranty covers the repair or replacement of the product when a manufacturing or material defect is identified.
The recommended service life of our ballistic inserts is 5 years, provided that EGIDE's recommended conditions of use, storage and care are followed.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage resulting from improper storage or care, product modifications, mechanical damage, or any use that does not comply with EGIDE's recommendations.
The stated ballistic performance corresponds to the levels and conditions defined by the applicable test protocols. As actual conditions of use may differ from these standardised conditions, no ballistic protection can guarantee the complete absence of injury or damage under all circumstances.
Any insert that has sustained a ballistic impact must be immediately withdrawn from service and must no longer be used.
